When a customer comes into your shop with a car problem, take the time to listen to them. Customers do not like it when you just ask for the keys. Hear them out, just like you would listen to a family member that came to you with a problem.

You usually go to the car mechanic when there is a problem with your car or a car part in particular. A good mechanic will charge you for just fixing up the problem. You usually leave your car at the mechanic for about a day or two. But a bad mechanic won't entirely fix the problem, and they will end up overcharging you. That is why it is good to look into mechanics before you have an issue with your car.

3) How many ways to you have to contact you? Remember, there's the internet and websites; e-mail; the Mobile Internet (for those accessing online searches from their phone); some people still use fax machines too! What about your phone numbers? How many do you have? Do you have a 24 hour help line? Do you use QR Codes to direct visitors to a Mobile Website?; Do you have a mobile website?; What about auto shops so I can get information about you before I visit? Make it easy for your customer to get in touch and give them as many ways as possible to connect.

It's way too easy just to listen to what you're being told, and then tell the auto repair shop just to get on with the job. If the problem isn't urgent, and you're able to go to one or two other auto repair shop services , then do that. If they all agree that a certain part is causing all of your problems, then there's less chance of paying for unnecessary repairs.

Now here's what bothers me. I paid for them to check this out and tell me what it would take to fix this problem. Did they do a good job of checking it out? Did they know it was just a couple clamps? Would they have stopped once they knew it didn't need all they said it would? I really doubt it. Why? Because they can't make any money replacing hose clamps. They need the bigger jobs to make more profit, but do they have to be dishonest to get their money? I found the problem without the convenience of a nice shop, or fancy equipment, and trained auto professionals.

We are not talking about a whole new car makeover. Although sometimes this is also necessary, (and cheaper than buying a new car) that is not the subject matter for now. There are so many things that can be done to make your car beautiful; and there are cheap, affordable options for everyone. Then, there are some things that need to be done; to keep your car working beautiful. Fine, you might not be willing to buy all types of accessories, but, there are certain things that need to be maintained in order that your car does not turn into a heap.

The used auto parts can also be purchased from stores which specialize in selling only used auto parts. Most towns and cities have such stores. Many of these stores, both offline and online, also provide warranties. Their sales staff would help you to chose the required auto part if you have any confusion over it.
